Bringing a site alive is best done with Video links. As they say a picture tells a thousand words. And a moving picture at 30 frames / second tells a mega story.

Adding video does of course require having video footage and then editing the raw video into something that looks good. Of course this is far easier to say than do. Editing video is a skill. For small and short videos you can use one of the many video editing tools. We recommend iMovie on the MAC.

There are thousands of sites that provide advice and guidance on shooting and editing video. Search and play is the best advice. If you have an Apple iPhone 4 you can use the in-built editing tools that for short clips.

Now the fun - You cant just add video to your site as you would add an image. Video files are huge and require a hosting partner. The most common provider is YouTube. See our YouTube Channel.  Here you can upload any video and send the link to your buddies as well as embed the code in your site. This is fine for a basic video. Your viewers will see all the YouTube branding and often get sucked into YouTube and leave your site. A better solution is to look for a hosting partner that provides a more professional hosting service.
