Expectations for Apple next round of iPhones and related devices are helping to push the world’s most valuable company to new heights.

Apple’s iPhone announcement expected in Sept. 12 event reports the Wall Street Journal.

Apple has scheduled a product announcement event on Sept. 12, according to people briefed on its plans, reinforcing expectations that the technology giant will release new iPhones and a smartwatch well ahead of the holiday shopping season.

The company is expected to unveil three iPhones, according to other people familiar with its plans. Those include a showcase iPhone to mark the product’s 10th anniversary that is larger and pricier and features an edge-to-edge display and facial-recognition technology, as well as updates to the two iPhone 7 models that started selling last year.

Reports have also indicated that Apple will show off a new version of its smartwatch at the coming event that will include cellular connectivity. Benchmark analysts last week said that connected smartwatches, which do not need to be electronically tethered to smartphones, could give the devices the boost they need to be difference-makers for hardware companies.

In light of this non new Apple shares reached record intraday and closing prices Tuesday, ending the day’s session with a 0.9% gain at $162.91, topping the previous closing high of $161.60, set Aug. 15. The improvement pushed Apple’s record market cap above $840 billion, the result of gains that have pushed the share price more than 40% higher so far in 2017, as the S&P 500 index has gained 9.2% and the Dow Jones Industrial, which includes Apple as a component, has increased 10.6%.

The only real news from Apple on Tuesday was a new partnership with Accenture PLC that will put teams of the two companies’ employees together to produce apps for others companies. While Apple has long focused on consumers for its massive revenue and profit, the company has increased its attention on businesses in recent years through partnerships with enterprise-focused tech companies, which has seemed to help its iPad business. Apple has also signed deals with the likes of Cisco Systems. SAP and IBM.

Expect an Apple announcement in week or so, until stand by for more rumours and false announcements and predictions based on tea leaves.
